Vet chroma™ Troponin-I (Tn-I) is a Fluorescence Immunoassay (FIA) for the quantitative determination of Troponin-I (Tn-I) in heparin-treated canine serum/plasma sample. Three different Troponin proteins, Troponin C (Tn-C), Troponin I (Tn-I), and Troponin T (Tn-T) are present in muscles of the heart. It is known that they are main regulators of the muscle contraction. Cardiac Tn-T (cTn-T) and cardiac Tn-I (cTn-I) are specifically expressed in heart muscles. They are released from heart muscles to blood stream when heart is in stressed condition. Therefore, measuring blood levels of these troponins can become useful tools for detecting abnormal status of the heart condition. Vet chroma™ Tn-I specifically measures the concentration of cTn-I in samples.
